Another beautiful sky tonight, slipping away into darkness, strangely shaped clouds sparked with orange glowy bits on a light blue background. My favourite colour combination, blue and orange, maybe because they are the colours of a sunset. Another photo opportunity missed, its only when the sun slips away in grays that I have my camera out. And now the night comes so late I don't have the energy to stay up late and capture the city lights. (Those of you who are up all night, are certainly not the people that walk the dog twice a day, in addition to other regular exercise. I can't seem to make it past 11 anymore.)
I am living for my surfing and biking trip to Cornwall in a few weeks. Just salty air and the ocean and not worrying about not having a decent job or doing anything with my life in this dirty, miserable town. I realized the other day that I prefer to spend money doing things than buying things. Not that I wouldn't mind a new digital camera or bicycle, but walking around in shops all day just feels like work. I like to go places and waste money on stuff like surfing lessons instead. Oh, and I also need compulsory basic training so I can start riding the scooter around town, which will be expensive and take up a whole day. But then I can ride out to Richmond Park for some nice long runs, none of this four times around Battersea park crap anymore!
I'm trying to update this more often, but most of the time I feel as if I don't have anything interesting to say, and without a photo to post I'm lost. I am going to get back to using my film camera, which means I won't be posting many pictures here because I don't own a scanner anymore.

The above picture was taken a few months ago, when night came much quicker.
well, this IS a great pic. i love your posts even if they don't have a pic or if they're about ordinary things because it's what's going on in your life and i miss you. plus, maybe you don't realise how exotic your life is to someone else halfway around the world. ;)
reading your blog reminds me to write in mine. which of course as of today it contains one naughty poem, three links (one to you) and a short list of things i'm doing in the near future.
that is so great you are going surfing! i can't wait to hear about it.. but also i can't wait to hear if you have a cup of coffee or brush your teeth, heh. i love the mundane in life!
