Although I did not believe it, this is actually a word. Valid for use in scrabble!.
noun
1. a secluded part of a garden laid out with trees, walks, etc.
2. (Archaic) enjoyment or pleasure
This road is in a grassy conservation area of Putney. It is lined with charming cottages that remain charming partly because no one is allowed to change them. Perhaps both meanings apply.
A man popped out of his window to ask what I was doing. I only got the one shot because I weakly replied that I was taking a photo of the street sign, and rode on. Guess I'm a weirdo for taking a picture of the man's house, but I thought the name of the street was cute, and since almost all street signs hang on houses, it wasn't like I had much of a choice.
